Exhibiting in Düsseldorf alongside subsidiary FKS, which will bring six machines, Duplo will show off its development of new machines for the packaging market, as well as upgrades to its existing portfolio.
The Japanese manufacturer’s latest saddle stitcher, the iSaddle Senshi, will also be on display. Derived from a Japanese word for 'warrior', Senshi provides the quality of a saddle stitcher with the convenience of flat sheet, plus significantly reduced makeready times to boost productivity, according to Duplo.
Building on its iSaddle 5.0 technology, the Senshi is able to process flat sheets into books at 5,050 A5 booklets per hour in 1-up, or 10,100 A6 booklets per hour in 2-up configuration.
Zunaid Rahman, Duplo UK’s marketing manager, told Printweek the team was excited for Düsseldorf.
“We’ve put significant investment into this year's show as we have so many new products to show off, and want to show how wide our portfolio of products are,” he said.
The entire Duplo International organisation will be present at Drupa, he added, supported by Japanese and American colleagues.
“We’ve been preparing for months to give visitors a great experience. With all the latest products we have launched, and some of the [upcoming] secret ones, we’re ready to inspire younger printers and traditional minds alike,” said Rahman.
Duplo’s 1,000sqm stand (Hall 6, Stand A31) will also feature the Duplo automation hub, an on-floor display of the firm’s automation software – several updates to which are expected in the run-up to Drupa.
Rahman added: “Our integration and automation, whilst always being present, has become much deeper and more important to our customers.”
