Targeting businesses involved in leather processing, printing and decorating, the new machine can print directly onto a variety of real and faux leathers in resolutions up to 2,880dpi.
It comes in three optional bed sizes, 700x1,900mm, 700x2,500mm and 1,200x3,300mm, the prices of which will be available on request to distributors and customers at Fespa in Berlin from 15-18 May.
“The Azon Leather Matrix can accommodate any type of real or artificial leather and opens numerous application possibilities in decorating, finishing and treating leather goods,” said marketing manager Žaklina Begic. “It is designed to meet different demands in the fashion industry, furniture industry, home decor and interior design.
“Azonprinter’s goal at this year’s Fespa, besides the establishment of new business relationships, is to promote our Azon Matrix industrial series and inspire and expand usage of digital printing in industries where it has not been represented before.
“People should visit our booths for live demonstrations, innovative technology, free samples and, of course, free beer.”
The Leather Matrix is a variant of the manufacturer’s UV-LED Matrix family, which can print on heavy materials up to 100kg intended for indoor, outdoor and industrial use.
Matrix printers can print onto a wide portfolio of substrates including polycarbonate, PVC, wood, stone and glass. The UV Azon Matrix, which debuted at Fespa last year, will also be showcased live alongside its leather counterpart.
Azonprinter will appear across three stands at Fespa – hall 4.2 stand B54, hall 3.1 stand B70 and hall 3.2 stand C60 – in collaboration with its partner, German ink stamp company Modico.
