The machine is being demonstrated with Azonprinter’s Rotax rotary adapter, which can be adjusted for textile, direct-to-substrate (DTS) and UV printing and allows for printing on cylindrical objects up to 279mm deep.
Azonprinter sales and marketing manager Žaklina Begi said: “This is the first time we are significantly entering industrial applications, so I believe it will attract a lot of new customers.”
The Matrix comes in three bed sizes, small (0.7x1.9m), medium (0.7x2.5m) and large (1.2x3.3m). List pricing is €37,000 for the S model UV Matrix, €41,000 for the M model UV Matrix and €53,500 for the L model UV Matrix Pro.
The CMYK plus white and gloss machine runs Turbojet inks in a refillable 500ml bulk ink system. It also features automatic media thickness detection.
It has a maximum resolution of 2,880dpi and can handle up to 100kg, and is suitable for producing a range of products including USB drives, smartphone cases, lighters and pens.
