The media, which ArtSystems said delivers “outstanding colour excellence” on HP Latex printers, will be promoted within ArtSystems’ established Xativa wide-format media brand.
The new products are said to harness advanced developments that have been specifically designed to optimise colour saturation, sharpness and durability. They are also a PVC-free alternative which is easier to dispose of than PVC-based substrates, while being odourless and mould- and mildew-resistant.
The first range to be launched will be the Xativa Wallpaper with ColorPro technology featuring three new products.
The first of these is a PVC-free durable wallpaper which uses third generation Latex inks to give fade resistance up to 20 years. It meets the flame retardant standard Class A and is available in smooth and suede finishes.
The second new product is a PVC-free wallpaper pre-pasted for easy application and giving up to 20 years of indoor lightfastness with HP Latex ink. It is available in a smooth finish and is flame retardant with Class A EN13051-1 certification.
The third product is a PVC-free durable wallpaper with a non-woven base that’s more stable than a paper base for long-term applications. ArtSystems said it is easy to install, washable, and has good scratch and abrasion resistance.
This product offers up to 20 years of indoor lightfastness with HP Latex inks and complies with flame retardant standards Class A EN13051-1.
ArtSystems consumable division manager Paul Tarry said: “We’re really happy to be chosen by HP to act as their route into the UK market.
“There has been a growing demand for designers and print service providers for wall covering media that can take full advantage of HP Latex ink technology. We now have that solution for them with the Xativa Wallpaper with ColorPro Technology range of products.”
The new products are all commercially available with immediate effect and “competitively priced” according to ArtSystems.
The company will be showcasing the new range at virtual trade events and will be running a swatch and sample roll programme for both resellers and users to check out the new media.
