Both the S (speed) and the HS (high speed) models are fitted with the 1,280-nozzle Ricoh Gen 5 inkjet printheads. The S model incorporates one row as standard and is field-upgradeable to two rows to create the HS model, doubling productivity.
According to Agfa, the portfolio expansion, which deliver a 7-picolitre droplet-size, sets a new standard for print quality and productivity. The models can deliver resolutions of 720x1,200dpi with a print speed of 160sqm per hour. A company spokesman said: "They feature all the benefits of our earlier models in one, in an unbeatable price / performance ratio making it the most versatile machine now available."
Both models come with six colours plus white as standard (CMYK, light cyan, light magenta and white). White printing is supported in different modes including overprint, under-print, spot, under-spot, fill and over-spot for rigids and pre-white for roll media.
According to the manufacturer the S and HS, which feature a 2x3m flatbed, are designed for higher volume or faster turnaround jobs. Both models have a precision moving table, offer a flat roll-to-roll option and enable the user to print flexible or rigid media up to 50mm thick and 3.2m wide.
The new Jeti Titan S/HS make their global debut at the C!Print 2014 show in Lyon, France this week.
Pilot installations are currently taking place, according to the manufacturer, while shipping on all orders will start from February.
