On stand E20 in hall 1, the manufacturer is running its Avinci CX3200 dye-sub soft signage printer, which was launched in June, the Jeti Tauro H3300 UHS LED, a hybrid large-format printer that was unveiled in March, and the Oberon RTR3300 roll-to-roll printer, which was launched in early 2020 and was poised to appear at the show that year before Covid enforced its push back.
Nicknamed ‘the Beast’, which refers to its power and sturdy build, the Jeti Tauro H3300 UHS LED can print onto a wide range of rigid and flexible media in widths of up to 3.3m, including corrugated board for packaging and display applications. Its top speed is 600sqm/hr.
Available in six configurations, four for board printing and two for rolls, at Fespa Agfa is showing the machine with a manual loading table and an automated unloader.
Reinhilde Alaert, product manager for Sign & Display at Agfa, said the machine “goes 30% faster than its predecessors”.
“The Tauro is known for its outstanding image quality and the vividness of its colours, and just like its predecessors it brings you excellent quality in very high speed – two-pass, three-pass sellable quality.”
She added: “It comes with its unique ink layer technology where you only need a fraction of the ink you normally use.”
The Avinci CX3200 is said to produce vibrant high-quality prints on a wide range of polyester-based fabrics and is suitable for indoor or outdoor soft signage and interior decor applications.
Agfa inkjet application specialist Dries Hublin said: “This 3.2m-wide machine is capable of printing via transfer paper on your polyester-based media, but you can also print directly on your media.”
Finally, the 3.3m-wide Oberon RTR3300 roll-to-roll printer “combines excellent quality and high throughput with a unique ease of use”, according to Agfa.
Featuring UV LED curing and a water-cooled print plate, it can be used “with even the most heat-sensitive flexible materials”. The machine’s dual-roll option enables efficient printing on two smaller media rolls.
Agfa is also showing its Asanti workflow software, a wide-format application area, and an industrial inkjet zone on its booth at Fespa, which is running at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam until the end of today (15 October).
