What attracted you to your new role?
It was a case of unfinished business. It was painful watching the recent difficulties unfold at Butler and Tanner and Friary Press as I had previously been involved with the business for almost 30 years. When Mike Dolan asked me if I would consider returning to rebuild and relaunch the company I wanted to get involved.
What will your main responsibilities be?
To manage the company’s marketing and sales efforts and ensure growth.
How long have you been in print?
I originally joined Friary Press in 1979.
What skills and expertise do you bring to this role?
As I was involved in building the business, I know what our clients require and what the firm must do to meet these needs.
What are your goals in your new role?
To assure clients that the business has moved on from troubled times. Friary Press is now in a good position with a well-equipped, motivated workforce and we have resumed providing the levels of quality and service we are known for.
What are your firm’s specialisms?
We specialise in sheetfed magazines, focusing on specialist consumer and business-to-business titles.
Who will you be reporting to?
Mike Dolan, chief executive, Media & Print Investments
