The financial services giant's decision to withdraw cover last month had only affected one supplier to Polestar, Scorpio Print Finishing, said Johnston.
"I've had a meeting with Zurich and have spoken about our investment programme and financial position and they were reassured. Its response to that was that the cover has been restored," Johnston said.
Zurich's decision to pull cover was down to its desire to reduce exposure to high-risk sectors, such as manufacturing, and was not "Polestar-specific", believed Johnston.
He admitted that Polestar's complex accounts could have caused some confusion. He added: "You cannot simply pick up our accounts and understand this group. It requires a face-to-face meeting, probably with me."
