Xerox launches workflow software for photo print providers

Xerox has launched a new range of software, developed with Imaxel, designed for commercial and digital printers moving into the photo product arena.

The Imaxel Photo Suite range of workflow software is being pitched at companies expanding into photobooks and follows on from the launch of the Xerox photo kiosk last year.

Using a web-based store or by downloading software, end users can create photo products with more than 180 templates at their disposal.

At the print supplier's end, the suite offers a back-office workflow that helps in the management and production of the product.

Other target markets for the Imaxel Photo Suite include photo finishers, print shops, retailers, schools and colleges.

Andrew Pieroux, marketing manager for workflow solutions within Xerox UK's production systems group, said: "With the Imaxel Photo Suite Xerox now offers consumers three different ways of producing their photo products; at a Xerox Photo Kiosk, on-line via the web, or off-line via a PC.

"For photo providers, the Photo Suite offers everything needed in order to develop a rich new revenue stream."
