The new print head is claimed to offer near photographic quality, thanks to its eight greyscale levels, and is designed for printing UV curing ink. A new UV curing ink has been developed in conjunction with Sunjet for web printing onto semi-flexible plastics.
Xaar will also launch an Approved Integrator Programme. This offers support to companies looking to incorporate ink-jet technology into their conventional printing presses for packaging.
Integrators will help to bridge the gap between the components, consumables and software needed to make an ink-jet system work and the final market application.
