The system, which has been developed in conjunction with API, Sunjet Inks and MM Digital, can produce personalised reel-to-reel foiling and can be adapted for narrow web or litho applications.
Inca Digital Printers marketing manager Heather Kendle said API dieLESS foil was applied using a UV-curable solution through the companys ink-jet technology.
"The system has the advantage of being able to give a different image every time if needed. It is also especially good for larger image areas, as it does not rely on heat from a die," she said.
Kendle added that Inca Digital was confident of finding OEM partners at the show for its new process, which has patents pending.
"We continue our search for commercially viable applications for piezo ink-jet technology. Ipex is always a venue which generates new ideas and new partnerships," Kendle said.
The company also plans to launch a printing machine for use on corrugated materials later this year if trials planned for May are successful.
However, it would not reveal further details about the new machine, which will be its third in a little over two years.
The new digital foiling system, which has yet to be named, will be demonstrated on Inca Digital Printings stand (5-494), while the companys Eagle 44 flatbed printer will be shown on the Sericol Imaging stand (5-182).
