Wide format printer users will have easy access to parts and support for Xaar’s 126, 128, 500 760, Proton and Electron printheads in regions where there is currently no direct machine manufacturer support.
Brussels-based Digiprint Supplies will supply heritage products such as the 126 and 128 printheads to end users within continental Europe where the distribution channel from the OEM no longer exists.
Xaar follows an OEM business model and currently has a number of distribution channels in areas such as Africa and the Middle East to provide support for end users in regions which are difficult to reach.
Printhead distributor Digiprint Supplies specialises in providing online global support and delivery for printers using wide format print parts. It supplies spare parts and replacements to companies across Europe within 24 hours.
Digiprint sales manager Valerie Fisera said: "We have a large network of engineers who have been in the printhead market for a number of years, including former employees at HP and Oce.
"We have a lot of technical knowledge in-house and can offer support for printers online, via email or phone and recommend local support if it is needed."
Fisera believes that Digiprint’s reputation across the market led Xaar’s decision to partner with the suppliers. Digiprint has over 15,000 active customers and offers support in seven different languages.
She said: "We are filling a gap in the market for our customers. We are the first and the biggest company in Europe to offer online parts and accessories to the print market.
Xaar European regional manager Keith Nixon said: "Digiprint Supplies has a strong reach and presence with many customers and can give technical support at end user level."
