The firm has invested over £250,000 in new wide-format production equipment, including going for a Korean double with a Jetrix flatbed printer and Dyss cutter.
“The build quality of both of these machines is fantastic,” said general manager Damian Smith. “They stood out in terms of how robust the engineering was.”
Willow Graphics has also invested in an HP Latex 360 roll-fed printer and GMG ProductionSuite workflow.
The firm, which was established at the end of August, completed its first round of investment last week with the commissioning of the Dyss X7 cutter at its Bermondsey premises.
“What really made the Dyss stand out was the AG CAD Kasemake software, said Smith. “That opens up POS, packaging and furniture production for us. That means we can produce stand-out products that take us into different sectors.”
The firm’s Jetrix, a KX7, is a 3x2.5m flatbed with roll option. Smith said the 100mm head height would allow the firm to print onto pretty much anything, as would the Inktec inks, which he praised especially for their adhesion to glass, acrylic and metal for exhibition and museum graphics.
The KX7 has two seven-channel printheads, each configured with CMYK, single varnish and double white.
