The Hampshire-based graphic display company has been able to bring a "significant" level of work in-house with the recent spend, which also included a Mimaki JV33 solvent inkjet machine.
The four-staff business has shored up its indoor and outdoor offering with the new kit, installed by Graphic Printing Technologies, which is housed in the printer's new Eastleigh site
Its new Mimaki will handle the company's outdoor applications, while the Epson 11880 will produce large-format interior graphics.
Glenne Wheeler, co-owner of BigStuff, said the company anticipates the new investments will help boost the printer's turnover over the next 12 months and allow it to keep more work in-house.
He said: "We were delivering a range of applications with our printer, but had to outsource for more specialist requirements, particularly outdoor displays."
Wheeler added that the new site "has allowed us to purchase more equipment, expanding the range and volume of business that we can provide. Indeed, since we moved in November 2007, our turnover has increased by 25%".
The company serves a range of clients that include agencies, museums, councils and retail point-of-sale customers.
Wide-format demand prompts kit investment
BigStuff is aiming to grow its turnover to the 600,000 mark following the investment in an Epson 11880 64in large-format inkjet press.
