In addition to the Mimakis and Epson, the Cornwall-based company's foray into digital printing includes a Xerox DocuColor 5000 and a Xerox 4110 copier/printer.
KCS said the new kit would allow it to offer full personalisation for its range of integral products such as parking permits, labels, magnets and membership cards.
The investment is part of a concerted move by the £2m-turnover company to increase its print offering, which will be complemented by a web-based ordering system in the coming months.
Terrye Teverson, managing director of KCS Trade Print, said: "I have been looking at new ways of offering print to our customers for some time. Clearly digital print has to be a top option."
She added: "At Drupa we were impressed with the wide-format print options and see this as a development linked with web-based services."
Teverson said that the quality and speed of the Mimaki JV5 -130S and JV5 -160S machines was "absolutely stunning".
The company anticipates the digital kit, coupled with web ordering, will allow customers such as print management firms to order "what they want, when they want it" to avoid waste and keep stock up-to-date.
KCS Trade Print, which was founded in 1990 and employs 27 staff, is also one of only two licensed providers of the Hydalam (T) laser pinmailer in the UK, used by many major bank and high street chains to securely send PIN numbers.
KCS targets digital market with major kit investment
KCS Trade Print is targeting the banner and display markets after investing in a raft of digital kit that includes two Mimaki JV5 machines and an Epson 44" wide format press.
