Weyerhaeuser chairman, president and chief executive Steven Rogel has been chosen as Global CEO of the year by members of the financial sector who follow the paper and forest products sector.

More than 350 security analysts, investment officers and portfolio managers were asked to choose the chief executive who had made the largest contribution to the competitiveness and success of their firm.

Rogel will be presented with the award in New York on 5 November.
