W-Print sets up and takes 21 Shore to Shore employees

A new company has been set up in Nottinghamshire, taking on 21 staff from failed East Midlands packaging printer Shore to Shore.

Shore-to-Shore closed last month (24 September) and is expected to go into liquidation this Friday (9 October).

W-Print Europe, which is trading as W-Print, was formed on 23 September 2009 and features Jonathan Harris as its sole director.

It is understood that the new company will deal with Shore to Shore's worldwide activities, which have been unaffected by the closure of the UK arm.

According to a statement from W-Print, the previously Heanor-based staff from Shore to Shore will move into the new premises in Nottinghamshire shortly.

It said: "We look forward to working as agents for offshore facilities with our new team of people. We do not anticipate any disruption to service levels with our customers worldwide."

A further 15 former Shore to Shore employees also found work last week with Nottinghamshire-based printer Sherwood Press.
