Vutek UltraVu II 3360 increases speed and spec

Vutek has launched its new three-metre UltraVu II 3360, which offers many new features and 50% more throughput in some print modes.

The UltraVu II replaces the previous 3360 EC printer, and comes with many new features such as ColorBurst software RIP and Vutek's new auto-mated two-sided printing system.

Designed for both high-speed and high-quality printing, the UltraVu II 3360 is capable of speeds up to 196m sq per hour, with the Rapid Return feature included in Vutek's latest version of software.

The Rapid Return feature allows the printer carriage to increase both its acceleration and deceleration speeds. The automated two-sided printing system provides consistent distortion-free double-side graphics for banners and backlit displays.

Vutek product marketing manager Mike Wozny said the new Vutek system eliminates stretch and/or shrink damage on the reverse side image. Special software automatically centres the image so it aligns precisely with one on the reverse side.

Available in four-, six- and eight-colour models, the UltraVu II 3360 prints at 720dpi resolution. The UltraVu II 3360 starts at 111,216 ($199,000).
