The system comprises a Vutek FabriVu 3360 EC eight-colour 3.2m-wide digital press, and MediaCo has also purchased an i-sub Monte Antonio thermal heat press for sublimation of the ink onto fabric.
Director Vincent Randall, who was previously with Scanachrome as senior project manager, said the FabriVu 3360 was only one of five in the world to be installed, and the second in Europe.
The company already uses an UltraVu 3360 EC and UltraVu 5300 at its Trafford Park plant.
MediaCo produces backlit material for a variety of London-based clients.
The FabriVu 3360 EC is able to print on substrates including fabrics and polyester materials. It has a 360dpi print resolution, prints at up to 65m2 an hour, and is designed for printing high-quality graphics for exhibitions, sporting events and point-of-sale advertising.
MediaCo was formed two years ago and has 22 employees.
