VIP aims to help ease cash-flow problems with seminar series

Vision in Print (ViP) is to host a series of seminars focused on cost reduction and cash in a bid to ease cash-flow problems for printers as the recession bites.

The four events, which run between 23 March to 1 April in Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham and Reading, are aimed at providing practical advice on how to reduce overheads without cutting staff or capacity.

Richard Gray, a director of ViP, said: "We have spent two months building seminars that focus on cash. Most printers can find two month’s cash in their existing operations just by implementing simple easy measures."

The courses will give 13 financial tips, 15 operational tips and five tips on people management, spanning invoice processes to organising shift structures and all aimed at cost-saving measures.

"Many printers are in 'frightened rabbit syndrome', but they have to respond positively to the current environment," Gray said.

The events are charged at £99 + VAT per delegate (or only £87.50 + VAT for BPIF/SPEF members).

Event dates:

  • Hamilton Park Racecourse, Glasgow: 23 March
  • Leeds United Football Club, Leeds: 25 March
  • Village Hotel Nottingham, Nottingham: 27 March
  • Holiday Inn Reading South, Reading: 1 April
