Vios managing director of sales and marketing, Miranda Clegg, said the Digital Workflow Suite 4.0 version was the firms first
JDF-compliant application. In the future software releases will be adapted to JDF version 1.1.
We have some new projects underway which we are starting to develop with customers, said Clegg.
Vio is chairing a new CIP4 Asset Transfer taskforce within the CIP4 origination and pre-press working group.
The taskforce, which is made up of a cross-section of companies including Markzware and Enfocus, has been created to develop a JDF process for the delivery and exchange of digital assets. It is chaired by Vios JDF development project manager, Israel Viente.
Clegg said Vio was looking at developing workflows with online print procurement specialist TripleArc, which is also JDF-compliant.
We are talking with many vendors that have JDF development, as this is the language we need, she said.
