Vio users can now use their Vio inbox to receive files from non-Vio users via the internet, ISDN dial-up and FTP server transfer and to send files via e-mail using Vio Open.
"Customers have been looking to simplify their communications with visibility and control independent of the transfer technologies," said Vio managing director Miranda Clegg.
"It was clear that we needed to ensure that Vio is open to receiving files from any source."
There are four options in Vio Open. Send To Me is a button on the customers website to submit files via the Vio server, and ISDN To Me allows files to be submitted via common ISDN software.
FTP To Me is for receipt of FTPed files to the Vio inbox, while the final choice, Sent From Me, sends files via Vio to the recipients e-mail address.
