UPDATED: Active Envelope Printing closes doors

PrintWeek can confirm that Active Envelopes was liquidated at a meeting of creditors.

The original story, which ran on 9 July, follows.

Envelope manufacturer Active Envelope Printing has ceased trading and is expected to go into liquidation next week.

A meeting of creditors will be held on Monday (13 July), where insolvency practitioner Bailey Ahmad is expected to be appointed.

Bailey Ahmad director Tom Ahmad confirmed that the east London company had closed its doors and said that redundancies had been made.

However, he did not confirm if all staff had left. Calls to the company's factory are currently not being answered.

Ahmad added: "We are determining the assets and, if we are appointed, we will obviously look to get the best value for the creditor. We will be able to say more after the meeting next week."
