The scheme is intended to give students from the college's photography, print and design departments a taste of the production process at Tesco Media Publishing, which is based in Milton Keynes.
John Procter, business manager of communications at LCT, said: "Print students will gain an insight into the production process behind the Tesco Direct catalogue from Geoff Harris, who, with his print background, brings great experience.
"Things like page make-up and the print buying process will also be looked at. This is a great relationship that we plan to expand on."
Geoff Harris, publishing controller of Operations and Community at Tesco, said: "The hope is that we can give students an insight into a fast-moving, cutting-edge publishing environment with the potential of future employment."
