Prior to the installation of the first unit the firm glued prints together for production dummies, "a considerable problem with large jobs", said Taylor Bloxham technical colour specialist Chris Bolton.
The firm, part of the Print People Group, can now produce over 320 pages per week. The ability to print on both sides of the proofing substrate has also saved the firm money on materials. "I would estimate that we are saving at least 8,000 per year by duplexing with VersoProof," said Bolton.
The Leicester-based firm also uses Troika's LithoCam dotmeter for quality control.
Troika has notched up over 100 installations of VersoProof, available as either an off-the-shelf package for 2,500 or as a 500 trial pack.
