Taylor Bloxham wins environmental accolade

Taylor Bloxham has added another string to its environmental bow after it was recognised for its efforts at the Kyocera Green Card Conference.

The Leicester-based printer picked up The Green Light Award in the Business Category for companies with more than 50 employees on 21 May.

Taylor Bloxham was awarded for its commitment to minimising its impact on the environment.

Initiatives undertaken by the business include a comprehensive recycling programme of all production and office paper, cardboard, polythene, CDs, printer consumables, aluminium plates and drinks cans.

The company has also reduced waste disposal costs by £1,000 per annum and cut 13 tonnes of waste sent to landfill in 2006.

Kyocera's judging panel said it was "very impressed" with Taylor Bloxham's submission and the company was picked out of a lot of high standard entries as being the best green initiative.
