Targetcolour in low-cost proof software move

Targetcolour has released a stripped-down version of its eProof RapidImageView (RIV) soft proofing product from Cyan Software, also announcing UK customers for the full versions.

According to Targetcolour managing director Niall Cody there was a gap in the market for a low-cost soft-proofing products. "This could be the saviour for a lot of digital printers".

The eProof RIV Lite will retail from 1,300 for up to five users and a maximum of 5,800 for unlimited licenses.

It offers comparable functionality to the "fuller" versions but the price is reduced by the removal of hyper-streaming and text editing for versioning.

Targetcolour has also added a number of UK users to its full versions of eProof RIV: First Edition, the repro arm of TBWA; Trident Communications; Terry Smith Group and Admagic, part of the Fusion Group are all converts.
