Online creators who have signed up with publishing company Found will now be able to sell their books through both Amazon and TikTok shop.

The move follows requests by creators in both the UK and US who have used Found, a service that takes their online content and creates books.

Found has partnered with numerous creators who have millions of views, by sharing their recipes, lifestyle advice, and fitness regimes with their followers. Taking their free content and turning it into books – which Found said have been bought in their thousands by loyal followers – has given the creators a lucrative income stream, even enabling some of them to give up their jobs to post full-time.

The books, which can be purchased in both hard copies and as a download version, were previously only available through Found directly or by clicking through from the creators.

Although creators will get slightly less commission for sales through Amazon and TikTok, most of them wanting to use these outlets said they were happy to do so because of the potential of hitting a large scale audience.

Found managing director Louise Stephenson said: “Many of our Found creators have absolutely huge followings, which run into the millions.

“And for them being able to sell their books through as many streams as possible makes total sense, which is why we have listened to their requests and have made their books available in this way.

“It is perfect timing with Christmas just around the corner which means that anyone wanting to gift a book – or ask for someone to buy them a copy – can do that in any number of ways.”

Creators who sign up with Found have no financial outlay, with their only commitment being to promote their books to their audience, for which they get a percentage of each book sold.

Found was launched by Precision Proco last year after a two-year development and trial period.

Printing on-demand digitally, the company’s aim was to give digital content creators an opportunity to monetise their content without the risk inherent in investing in a long print run.
