Tangent boosts sales by 30%

Tangent Communications has boosted its margins and turnover as the group aims to build on its full-year results.

For the year ended 28 February, Tangents turnover was up 30% to 8.61, while operating profit was boosted by 71% to 1.07m. The groups operating margin was up 2.9% to 12.4%.

Joint chief executive Nicholas Green said that the company had expanded the technology and products for highly targeted marketing.

Digital is everything that we are about, he said. Print forms an important element, but we have been building databases, websites and email campaigns.

The company recently won the pitch to build a new website for the Labour Party and is set to begin work on Home Information Packs through its subsidiary, Newcastle-based digital printer Ravensworth, which it acquired in February this year to double its size.
