The family-owned, former screen printer, which moved into digital in 2001, has also expanded its Mora-based facility in order to accommodate the new machine.
The Scitex LX800 uses water-based HP latex inks and produces odourless substrates. It can print graphics up to 3.2m wide on a variety of substrates, with a production speed of up to 45m/hr and will be used to produce signage for ski resorts.
According to HP, outdoor prints produced on the LX800 boast display permanence up to three years unlaminated and up to five years laminated, while also offering scratch, smudge, and water resistance comparable to low-solvent inks.
Mathias Hofvander, chief executive of Trycket Mora, said: "Our customers not only want to know that their jobs are being produced in the most environmentally responsible way possible, but they need to be able to re-use the banners time and again."
