London system integrator Square Group has bought 4Sights stock of ISDN cards, software and customer details.
We recognised there is a big need for support for ISDN users, said director Darren King. I feel like a knight in shining armour.
All 4Sight customers, estimated at 18,000 in total, get three months free telephone support. The firm has appointed former Hermstedt UK engineer Chris Lee to provide ISDN support. There will be no further development of 4Sight software.
Hermstedt has refuted speculation that its UK office has closed, stating that its very much up and running (PrintWeek, 14 August).
A strategic alliance will be announced soon, and rumours have suggested Vio is in the frame. Vio executive chairman Richard Horwood said: We dont comment on speculation, but with the current situation everyone is talking to everyone.
