Stralfors awarded BS 25999

Print and mail expert Stralfors has achieved the British standard for business continuity management, BS 25999.

BS 25999 is designed to ensure organisations keep operating during any unforeseen circumstances and minimise the risk of any disruption.

To achieve the standard, the transactional printer had to conduct risk assessments for various unexpected scenarios, including floods, power outages and terrorist threats. Plans that dealt with each situation were subsequently tested to prove they were workable.

Managing director John Carter said: "The standard is the ultimate assurance that we have an effective approach to overcoming any disruption to our business.

"Stralfors is one of the industry’s most secure suppliers to do business with. We provide a critical service to our clients, such as utility bills for Southern Water, or the statements that generate our clients’ income."

BS 25999 was launched in 2007.
