Stralfors scoops Sustainable Environment Award

Transactional printer Stralfors has scooped the Sustainable Environment Award at May's Severnside Achievement in Recycling Awards.

The award is in recognition of the company's commitment to sustainable business systems across its two UK sites in Cornwall and Kent.

Rob Norwell, UK environment and compliance manager, said the company has also made an annual saving of £100,000 on the back of its environmental investment.

The business has reduced its waste to landfill by 80%, saved more than 40,000 litres of water after installing a water recovery system, and has also reduced its annual CO2 emissions by 685 tonnes.

Norwell said: "Our experience proves that sound environmental strategies will also deliver great business benefits.

"We will continue to share information, knowledge and best practice in order to identify improvements across all of the operations we are involved in."

Stralfors is part of the Posten Norden Group.
