The Swiss company is offering four-day courses for the Hibis 104 high-speed rotary screen and flexo printer, and the Lotus SF laminator at its St Gallen base.

According to the company, the training courses cover "every important aspect of both the maintenance and the operation of the machines".

Jürg Spittler, vice president of Steinemann Technology and director of the graphic division, said: "The objective of our new training programme is to consistently strengthen the competitive position of our customers in the framework of a comprehensive know-how transfer.

"We want our customers to be able to pull out all the stops and exploit the existing options to the full when using our versatile high-performance machines."

He added: "We aim to constantly improve our technical support in the field by giving our representatives intensive training."

The training scheme is to be expanded further, with the Syrius high-speed laminator next on the agenda.
