Tracy Dineen joined the business in the newly created role of Fujifilm product manager on 11 July.
“I’m really excited to be joining the team. One of the main attractions of the role was to be working with a business that has a customer-centric philosophy and a history of account-based marketing, said Dineen, who has more than 25 years industry knowledge – most recently in senior sales roles at Duplo, EFI, and OneVision Software.
Her focus will be introducing the Fujifilm Acuity Ultra R2 to Soyang’s customer base after the Accrington, Lancashire headquartered business signed its first kit reseller deal earlier this year.
The deal evolved from Soyang working with Fujifilm since last May to test its materials on the new roll-to-roll Ultra R2, which was launched last summer.
Available in either 5m or 3.2m wide, the 265sqm/hr R2 is available in various colour configurations up to eight channels, and with either conventional UV curing as standard, or with an LED UV curing system for six-colour and white configurations.
“With our recent entry into the superwide format hardware sector we were keen to strengthen our in-house hardware expertise,” said Soyang Europe managing director Mark Mashiter.
“Tracy is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals working in the print industry today and we are delighted to have her on board.”
The reseller deal to bring the R2 to market coincided with Soyang’s purchase of kit reseller Josero in May, meaning the business went from zero to having a kit portfolio that included Agfa, Fujifilm, Mimaki, and Ricoh in one month.
