SM perfectors to get coating

Heidelberg is developing a version of its Speedmaster long perfector that allows coating and curing prior to the perfecting unit.

A prototype is running trials in Germany and it hopes to launch the configuration at Drupa next year.

The firm also said there was major UK interest in the Speedmaster CD 102 Duo, which can incorporate flexo and curing units before and between the litho units. It is confident of the first UK installation by the end of this year.
