According to Sihl Group UK area sales manager Sam Iliaifar the IR curing used in the latex printing process requires a specialist stock that is designed to minimise shrinkage due to the heat.
The wet-strength stocks are offered under the Post-2-Cure paper brand and are also compatible with UV-cured and solvent inks.
Two papers are bright white satin papers one a 125gsm and the other a heavier weight 180gsm, both of which are aimed at indoor signs, city light posters and outdoor light boxes. The third stock is a blue-back intended for indoor signs, short term promotions and billboard work.
All stocks are available in a number of different width reels from 106.7cm to 160cm wide.
The two bright-white satin grades can be recycled, however the blue-back can't be.
