The application can display a range of information through the Vista sidebar, including the number of estimates logged in a given period.
Paul Deane, joint managing director at Shuttleworth, said the new application "revolutionised the way that printers can access their management information data".
He added: "We can now deliver real time information that is not readily available far more quickly, more easily and in a far more business friendly way."
Users need only have access to the internet to use the application, which does not require them to be logged into their MIS system.
Each piece of data can also be set by the user, according to certain parameters. For example, if press running speeds drop below a set rate or a specific number of estimates fail to be logged, the client can be notified through an alert.
The advent of Shuttleworth's Vista application follows on from the launch of IQMobile by QI Press Controls, which allows iPhone users to access real time information from their MIS systems.
Shuttleworth application to 'revolutionise' access to MIS data
Shuttleworth has launched a real-time MIS application for the Microsoft Vista sidebar, which allows users to monitor information, such as press running speeds, from almost anywhere in the world.
