It has bought two Komori presses and moved its digital and B2 operations into its main factory in Glaisdale Parkway, Nottingham, and is hoping to push sales up to 20m following the increase in capacity.
"The investment allows us to consolidate all of our production in one site, providing a one-stop operation," said group managing director Jeremy Bacon.
The investment includes an additional B1 machine, a six-colour Komori Lithrone LS640P, which joins two other B1 Komoris and a four-colour SPICA 429P perfector, currently being commissioned, which replaces a Lithrone 428.
Bacon said that despite most B2 work being 4/4 the SPICA's low cost would enable the firm to compete against others with long perfectors. The firm has also installed a Creo Lotem Quantum platesetter and a Longford CF200 greetings card folder.
