The four-year-old Xerox DC250 had clocked up 2m impressions since its installation but demand for variable data work meant the 19-staff company had to upgrade.
Managing director Graham Baker said: "We do varied work on the Xerox 700. A lot of it is short-run instruction manuals, as well as user guides and football programmes, business cards and posters.
"We had the DC250 for four years and it gave us sterling service, so when it came for replacement, Xerox was our first choice. Installation was quick and our staff only needed a couple of hours of instruction to get up to speed with the new model."
The £1.5m-turnover company produces work for local authorities, the electronics industry and SMEs. It bought the 700 machine from First Choice Business Systems.
