In a deal completed in April, the German online operation, which has its UK base in London, has integrated its full range of products into the Vpress Enterprise online environment through an API connection which allows any Vpress user to select Saxoprint as a supplier out of a number of suppliers connected to the platform.
According to Saxoprint head of international sales Tim Webster, the move is part of a wider drive to establish ongoing connections with new tech partners to increase outreach.
“It was clear that a lot of people using the Vpress platform – printers, resellers, suppliers and so on – were people who should be engaging with Saxoprint,” said Webster. “We wanted to make it as easy as possible using their existing technology.
“This adds us to Vpress users’ choice of supplier and they can make the most of everything that we produce on our monster of a plant.”
Saxoprint’s offering covers a variety of commercial print applications including business cards, brochures, flyers and exhibition products, predominantly produced on litho equipment. Vpress users are now able to turn on their platform and submit orders directly to the Saxoprint production workflow.
According to Webster, Saxoprint presently has no printing facilities in the UK, but has staff spanning Europe numbering more than 700.
Developer Vpress’ core team is based out of premises in Cheltenham, with satellite sales offices in Australia and New Zealand.
