The VersaUV LEC UV ink machine can print at resolutions up to 1,440x1,440dpi in artistic print mode and offers prints in CMYK, as well as white and gloss.
Roland DG is targeting the wide-format machine at the production of high-end packaging proofs, short–run labels and other applications.
The 330 model is claimed to offer up to double the productivity of the previous LEC-300 when printing in standard mode.
Mat Drake, print product manager at Roland DG (UK), said the LEC-330 offered "greater media compatibility, production-level print speeds and three unique ink combinations".
He added: "Designed for a host of short-run production, packaging prototyping and labelling applications, the LEC-330 is an exceptional tool that can save time, lower pre-press costs and generate new revenues for commercial printers."
Roland DG is set to debut the new LEC-330 at Sign and Digital Ireland, which takes place later this month on 23-24 September in Dublin.
