The company has implemented an environmental management system across operations at its Woking site, which include graphic design, digital and lithographic printing, finishing and distribution.
Chairman Mike Webb said there are some companies who offer ISO certification but they are not recognised by British Standards.
He said: "This means they cannot display the Crown and Tick logo, which larger companies are wise to.
"Some of our clients are asking for the accreditation and in general our team are enthusiastic about the environment. This was a way of formalising it."
As part of its policy, Repropoint said it is committed to the prevention of pollution by developing good social, economic and land environmental practices. It also uses sustainable and renewable resources wherever possible.
Webb said that the company's policy also includes saving paper by only printing where necessary and then printing double-sided, as well as segregating waste as far as possible while targeting 95% waste recycling.
Repropoint has also reduced its packaging consumption by investing in alternative methods, including cardboard, plastic balers and can crushers.
The company has 86 staff, with 66 in the print division and a print turnover of £3.6m.
It produces work for the architectural, engineering and construction markets, and now also works in marketing, training and pharmaceutical areas, and with print management companies.
Plans for 2009 include increasing its web-to-print work and, in the longer term, looking at buying another digital press and additional mailing fulfilment equipment.
Repropoint responds to demands with ISO 14001 certification
Repropoint has gained certification for the British Environmental Standard ISO 14001, a move which the digital printer said has saved it money and brought in work.
