Radio Times repro won by Graphic Facilities

Graphic Facilities has picked up the contract to do the repro for Radio Times

It will be responsible for the features and advertising pages of the listings title from the end of July.

The switch will begin the implementation of a new digital workflow that will see Graphic Facilities supply pages to Polestar in the PPAs pass4press version of PDF.

The switch to an all digital workflow is in advance of a move by Polestar to produce the Radio Times CTP.

Polestar Imaging was previously carrying out repro for the Radio Times, it will retain its other work with BBC magazines which includes a number of childrens titles.

To provide the necessary workflow to produce the Radio Times Graphic Facilities has invested in a Dalim system from Turning Point Technologies. This is backed up with a second Dalim system at Marlin Imaging, which is part of the Graphic Facilities Group, to provide disaster recovery, which was important to the BBC according to Graphic Facilities technical director Barry Fitzpatrick.
