The firm will be responsible for the features and advertising pages of the TV and radio listings title from the end of July.
Graphics won the contract in a five-way pitch that included incumbent Polestar Imaging. Polestar retains its other repro work with BBC magazines, which includes a number of childrens titles.
"I cant think of many magazines in the UK that are more recognisable as a brand," said Graphic Facilities group managing director Les Pipe. "Were delighted to have won this flagship title."
The move will begin the implementation of a new digital workflow that will see Graphic Facilities supply pages to printer Polestar Petty in the PPAs pass4press version of PDF.
The switch to an all-digital workflow is in advance of a move by Polestar to produce the Radio Times CTP, which is expected to be complete by the end of the summer.
To provide the necessary workflow to produce the Radio Times, Graphic Facilities has invested in a Dalim system from Turning Point Technologies.
This is backed up with a second Dalim system at Marlin Imaging, which is part of the Graphic Facilities group, to provide disaster recovery, which was important to the BBC, according to Graphic Facilities technical director Barry Fitzpatrick.
"This is a fantastic coup for us," said Fitzpatrick. "The technology we will be using will offer major advantages, giving cost reductions and improved opportunities for late scheduling."
