The US company claims that the Vivo! Touch enables manufacturers to apply high resolution colour labels to products at speeds on a par with most packaging production lines.
The system boasts a 1.6GHz processor, enabling it to create personalised work and customise labels on the fly at more than 8m per minute.
Worldwide sales director Eric E Pizzutti said that the new printer "makes it affordable for manufacturers to print your own labels"
He said it can dynamically print colour lables with data from an ERP system, and enables users to change lines quickly and instantly with custom printing.
The machine is aimed at manufacturers in the food and beverage, chemical processing, medical, cosmetics and personal care markets.
The LED printer's inaugural demonstration was at the Pack Expo International trade show in Chicago last week.
