GPMU deputy general secretary Tony Burke welcomed the agreement, which will be ratified at the EWCs inaugural meeting next month. The meeting will probably be held in France.
He said it had taken a long time to reach agreement because of the number of countries and unions involved, including the French union Filpac, the pan-European union UNI-Europa Graphical, and Scandinavian, Austrian, Spanish and Belgian unions.
