Following Adobe's announcement last week that it will begin shipping CS4 in October, Quark has revealed that the latest versions of Quark Publishing System (QPS), QuarkCopyDesk and QuarkXPress Server will all be released in Q4 2008.
The barrage of releases in support of QuarkXPress 8 will serve to strengthen Quark's all-round offering at Ifra Expo in Amsterdam from 27-30 October, and Graph Expo, in Chicago from 26-29 October.
PG Bartlett, Quark's newly-appointed senior vice president of product management, said: "QPS 8 is the most flexible, cost-effective, and easy-to-use publishing system available today.
"Its compatibility with QuarkXPress 8, combined with the power of QuarkCopyDesk 8 and QuarkXPress Server 8, helps customers build the foundation for dynamic publishing."
Quark has also enigmatically stated that it will "make another significant announcement related to QPS 8" while at Ifra and Graph Expo.
It said the triple product launch would allow users to leverage the design capabilities of QuarkXPress 8 with the automated workflow of WPS 8.
Quark upgrades range and hints at "significant" announcement
Quark will unveil a raft of upgrades to its products, coinciding with next month's launch of rival software developer Adobe's Creative Suite 4 (CS4).
