The event is taking place at The Shrewsbury Club from 30 October to 6 November, and will be the biggest women’s indoor tennis tournament to be held in the UK this year.
Contestants will be confirmed closer to the date, with some big name players expected to participate.
Quantum Print & Packaging is located in Wednesbury, and managing director Giles Foden is a keen tennis player – although currently hampered by an Achilles injury.
He said everyone at the firm was excited to be involved with the festival-style tournament, which will also be live-streamed online to a large audience.
“To have world-class tennis talent competing right here on our doorstep is brilliant for the region and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
Dave Courteen, managing director at The Shrewsbury Club, commented: “We want to thank Quantum Print and Packaging for their incredible generosity sponsoring the Players Tunnel at this much-anticipated event.
“Shrewsbury has been holding tennis events for the past 15 years and it is only because of the support we get from businesses like Quantum that this has been possible.”
The event also features a tennis ball trail with a dozen four-feet-high tennis balls located around Shrewsbury.
Quantum Print & Packaging produces a wide range of plain and printed cartons from its 2,800sqm facility, which includes warehousing for more than 500 pallets.
