Quadsect in south-east London attracted seven customers to its first open day to learn more about the whole print process.
"The hope is that everyone, from people who we regularly deal with to people who we dont, will get to find out how we work," said Quadsect general manager Mike Bennett.
"We were led through all the stages of a job from estimating through to proofing and platemaking to print finishing processes," said John Lewis artworker Rachel Miller.
The visit covered all aspects of repro including proofing and platemaking, as well as estimating on Quadsects Tharstern system, through to makeready on the firms six-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 74.
For some of the customers, including Miller, the open day was their first visit to a printer. Quadsect will hold its next open day on 28 November.
